TutorYou at UNITOUR Parma and Florence 2020

This week we have joined the second leg of the Italian UNITOUR Fairs, starting on Tuesday in Parma followed by Florence on Wednesday. These fairs are aimed at high school students, looking to determine their next step into higher education. This week they brought together a selection of Italian, Swiss, Spanish, and UK institutions, with a variety of focuses. There were universities specializing in subjects including Business, Design, and Psychology, as well as universities with a wider range of courses, from English Literature to Mechanical Engineering.
On Tuesday in Parma, we were pleased to not only have our TutorYou stand and be able to speak with prospective students about the University Consulting service we offer, but also to be supporting Falmouth University and Coventry University on their stands.
Falmouth University in the South West of England, is a fantastic university specializing in creative subjects. The university has nine departments, each one focused on a specific creative industry including a Games Academy, Academy of Music and Theatre Arts and the Institute of Photography. We spoke to a great number of students interested in pursuing a future in this sector and it was great to see their interest when we explained the focus on practical projects at the university, as well as the industry standard and varied facilities available to students. These include dance studios, recording studios and camera and film equipment.
Coventry University has four faculties, these are the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing, the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, and the Faculty of Business and Law comprising of the Coventry Business School and Coventry Law School. Students can take advantage not only of the diverse courses on offer, but also International opportunities and excellent support for their career development.
On Wednesday in Florence in addition to our TutorYou stand and supporting Falmouth University, we also supported University College Birmingham, whose majority of courses are accredited by the University of Birmingham. UCB, has a strong focus on vocational courses, and linking academic theory to workplace skills. They offer some interesting and different bachelor courses including Aviation and Airport Management, Bakery and Patisserie Technology and Specialist Hair and Media Make-Up.
We have enjoyed meeting all the students this week and chatting with them about their higher education choices. If you would like support choosing your pathway or applying to university, please get in touch with us today! We look forward to attending next years’ Italian UNITOUR dates!
