Anglia Ruskin University's Partner Conference

Between September 12th – 14th, TutorYou was invited to visit Anglia Ruskin University for their EU Student Recruitment Counsellor’s Familiarisation Visit.

We arrived in the famous student city of Cambridge, home to ARU’s Cambridge Campus and were met by some lovely student ambassadors, who welcomed us to the University.

The next day we had a packed day of meeting with staff from all the different schools, as well as the admissions team and current EU students! This was a wonderful opportunity to discuss the different courses on offer at Anglia Ruskin, as well as get an idea of what life is really like for EU students arriving to study in the UK. One thing we took away from meeting current ARU students, is that Anglia Ruskin is a very welcoming place, with lots of student support and services.

We also visited the famous Cambridge School of Art and Performing Arts, home to the world renowned MA in Children’s Illustration. As well as all this, we visited the Science Centre and new Super Lab, which can hold classes of up to 200 students!

The following day we travelled to the Chelmsford Campus home to the brand new Anglia Ruskin University Medical School, which opened its’ doors on Monday 17th to the very first 100 students!

TutorYou was lucky enough, as part of a group of EU Student Counsellors, to have had the opportunity to take a look around while the staff were making all the final touches!

Amongst the parts we visited were the embalming room, anatomy lab and GP rooms – and we had a lot of questions for the teaching staff!

We also met some more of ARU’s international and EU students, as well as visiting the Mechanical Engineering lab and Bloomberg Suite, which is a fantastic facility used by Accounting and Finance students.

On top of all of this, we also visited the teaching spaces for students studying subjects such as Nursing, Midwifery and Operating Department Practice, which include mock hospital wards, an operating theatre and children’s ward.

Furthermore, ARU not only has campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford but also one in Peterborough. With a broad range of subjects and wonderful academic staff, state of the art facilities and enthusiastic student ambassadors, ARU has something for everyone!

Thank you Anglia Ruskin University for showing us around your wonderful campuses!

Please get in touch with TutorYou today if you would like to apply to study here!
