TutorYou at UCAS International Teachers’ and Advisers’ Conference 2018!
How can we help our students in the best way possible when completing their university applications? How do we remain up to date on the UK Higher Education system? How do we know which university is right for each of our students? The answer; by attending events such as the UCAS International Teachers’ and Advisers’ conference in Manchester on the 4th – 5th June.
This event is essential for us to attend, in order to be up to date on all the relevant information availablefor non-UK applicants into UK Higher Education System. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to hear from experts and to network with representatives from UK universities and colleges.
The two day conference consisted of various breakout sessions on topics such as how to write a stand-out personal statement, the application process for students wishing to study medicine, how to apply to the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge and supporting International Baccalaureate students in their applications to UK higher education.
There were many universities present at the conference including some of our partners who were also exhibiting their universities: City, University of London, New College of the Humanities, Richmond The American University in London and Swansea University.
Furthermore, there was a networking event during which we had meetings with the following universities amongst others:
- Cardiff University
- Keele University
- Lancaster University Management School
- Liverpool John Moores University
- Newcastle University Business School
- Oxford Brookes University
- Richmond The American University in London
- Royal Holloway University of London
- Royal Veterinary College
- SOAS University of London
- Swansea University
- The University of Sheffield
- University Academy 92
- University of Bath
- University of Dundee
- University of Warwick
Thank you to UCAS for hosting this event, it was extremely beneficial for us and we look forward to moving forward with our partner Universities and beginning to work with many more and forging long and lasting relationships!
